I’m not comfortable with sharing my images online. Can I have a boudoir session and keep my images private?
Absolutely!!! Very few boudoir sessions are shared as most like to keep the images private. Sessions are 100% private and never shared without permission. If you’re ok with me sharing, please let me know as I could always use more images to share!
I’m worried about stretch marks. Do you offer retouching?
Basic retouching is included. I smooth out the skin in all our images. Although sometimes not everything can be completely removed, it will be reduced.
Where does the session take place?
I have set up a portrait studio in my house. Here I have many backdrops to offer as well as two bedroom sets
Do I bring my own lingerie or do you supply me with that?
You bring your own lingerie. If you’re not sure what you would like to bring we discuss that in detail depending on your body and what you’re comfortable with. Corsets look fabulous on everyone. Baby dolls do not look fabulous on everyone. Be sure to ask me any questions you have when choosing your lingerie.
Can I bring a friend to my boudoir session?
Although some photographers advise against this because they find the friend can be distracting, I think this is totally up to you. What will make you feel more comfortable? Many feel nervous before a boudoir session and prefer to bring a friend for comfort. I’d guess that 25% of my clients do bring a friend.
Is makeup and hair included? Or can I do my own to save money?
We offer several packages both with and without makeup. Depending on what city you live in, I have fabulous stylists I work with. Having makeup and hair done gives you time to relax and feel pampered. Having styling done by a professional means they know how to get you camera ready, while highlighting your beauty. We take photos before your styling appointment if you have ideas of your own.
How long does a boudoir session take?
Styling for hair and makeup take about an hour to an hour and a half. The boudoir photographic session is also an hour to an hour and a half.
I have no idea how to pose for boudoir photography. Do you guide me in posing?
Posing is my specialty! I’ve taken so many course on posing and have studied boudoir photography in both Las Vaga and California. Posing is fun and challenging. It’s not going to be a day where you comfortably roll around in the bed. There’s a little hip popping, toe pointing, arching, elongating the neck, etc. It’s a bit like yoga…holding uncomfortable poses! But it works!
